Default Attack Speed Q

So this goes for any profession not just Derv

Drunken master: the attack speed varies depending on Dwarf Rep.

Question is, is there a difference between say 25 and 26% Or are there plateaus like at 25, 30 and 33%?

I'm gonna go test it for a 25% flat skill and my current dwarf level of 28%...

Anyone know the answer?

EDIT: Did some testing with my scythe

Normal Speed: 26 dps
+12% non-drunk : 30 dps
25% from Heart of fury (continual recharge): 32
28% from Drunken Master: 35 dps

These results are almost perfect in terms of multiplying the base value (26) by the increase (1.12, 1.25, 1.28)...I guess there is a slight benefit to being drunk !

Attack speed mods reduce the attack interval by the stated percentage. (Example: Flatbow base speed is 2sec/attack. 25% IAS results in 1.5sec/attack.) The process is linear.

Damage increase due to IAS = 1/(1-IASpercentage).

So a 33% IAS is worth 1/1-0.33 = 150% of normal damage.

A 25% IAS is worth 1/1-0.25 = 1.33% of normal damage.

A 28% IAS is worth 1/1-0.28 = 1.39% of normal damage.

So yes, there is a non-negligible difference between 25% and 28% IAS.

I guess the real Question then is : which is better?

Heart of Fury at 4 adrenaline 10 sec duration and 25%

Or Drunken master at 5 energy, 80 seconds and eventual 30-33 % ias

DM has that nice run speed boost too, but you need a supply of alcohol and I don't know if it will get annoying drinking a bottle every time I need to use it...

There isn't a clear best choice. Remember that DM is a PvE skill, so if you're already running three you'll need drop one of them if you want it.
